MY STORY

How I got into 3D printing.

18 years on the tools

My career started on paper printers in offices and print rooms. Eighteen years on the tools taught me the repair is usually the easy part. What matters is the person next to the machine with a deadline coming. So I answer the phone, quote honestly and come back when I say I will.

The first 3D printer

About 9 years ago I was called out to my first 3D printer, a 3D Systems machine, and I was hooked. Soon I had my own printers at home to tinker with, while servicing production 3D printers on the job. Every repair taught me something new about these fussy machines.

3D Werk

Working on wax printers in jewellery and dental workshops, I saw how much a reliable machine and a local technician matter. Printed wax burns out like the wax casters already know. So in 2026 I started 3D Werk: one person who supplies, installs and looks after your Flashforge WaxJet 51C or WaxJet 530.

What you can expect.

No call centre

The person who installs your printer is the person who looks after it. I know your machine, your setup and what you make, so you never have to explain it twice. On-site service across the Sydney metro area.
